Vision

An Ecologically sustainable and just world based on principles of decentralised community-based governance that takes into ecological and societal concerns related to health and overall well being of human beings and nature consistent with ‘One Health Principles’ and the ‘Circular Economy’ inclusive of a recognition of Nature’s cycles.  

Mission

To develop and enhance capacities of local communities at the ecosystem level to understand principles related ecosystem governance for sustainable and dignified livelihoods   

Objectives

Overall Objective: Develop Ecosystem Modules that operationalise concepts related to Sustainable Decentralised Development where local communities can participate in governance for dignified and sustainable livelihoods as equal stakeholders in the development of this country.

Objective 1: Develop pilots in different ecosystems with the active participation of local communities and Civil Society.

Objective 2: Develop capacity of the local communities and civil society to engage meaningfully with the issues identified in the course of implementation.

Objective 3: Facilitate the process of federation development so that local governance principles at gram sabha / ward sabha level are extended to issues identified at the ecosystem level.

Objective 4:  Documentation of processes and best practises to facilitate policy advocacy and community engagement across ecosystems.
